Former Vice President of Beef Procurement of IBP/Tyson, Bruce assumed that role in 1991. Bruce was responsible for the purchase of 10 million cattle annually. Following college graduation, “Skippy” as he is known by many, began his 35-year career with IBP in1970 driving the “paunch truck”, working his way up to cattle buyer in Norfolk, NE. He had a 2-year stint as Assistant Head Cattle Buyer before being promoted to the top spot, which he held until his retirement in January 2006.

Bruce has negotiated with and toured nearly every large cattle feeding operation in the U.S. and Canada, including several small operators.
