Cassie, a veteran commodity trader, analyst and strategist
assumed her role as Senior Director of Commodity Trading
and Risk Management for IBP/Tyson beginning in 2000. Cassie
has been known as an expert in livestock fundamentals and
commodity market technical analysis since her years as a
trader in the live cattle pit at the Chicago Mercantile
Exchange in the 1980s.
Her
contributions at IBP included quantifying all commodity
exposure in real-time and bringing dynamic risk management
methods to the company which contributed significantly
to company profitability while reducing risk.
Cassie oversaw IBP’s cattle
feeding activities, including placements, hedging and
performance. She also completed the company’s first
Over-the-Counter transaction and continued to spearhead
growth in that area.
Cassie is currently advising cattle
feeders and fund managers.
